Privacy

Summary

PriceActually is built to do useful work with as little personal data as possible. The MVP requires no account, no email, no sign-in. We store the prices and sizes you submit so the public Product pages can aggregate them. We do not link those entries to an identifiable person.

What we store

• Price check entries. Product name, store name, price, size, unit, category, purchase date, and any previous-price context you provide. Stored permanently to power the public Product pages.
• Comparison entries. Same kind of data for the two items you compare.
• IP hash. We compute a SHA-256 hash of the IP address that submitted an entry and keep it only for rate-limit enforcement. We do not store the original IP. We do not display the hash on any page.

What we do not store

• Names, emails, or phone numbers (MVP has no sign-up).
• Device identifiers beyond standard browser headers.
• Location more precise than what an IP would imply.
• Cross-site advertising identifiers.

Cookies

The MVP does not set tracking cookies. Vercel may set operational cookies required for the site to function. If we add analytics or paywall features, we will update this page.

Future Premium tier

If we add a Premium tier, it will require an email address to deliver price alerts. We will store that email and the minimum data needed to deliver the service. We will say so clearly at sign-up and update this page.

Data deletion

Because entries are not linked to a personal identity, there is no per-user deletion flow in MVP. If you believe a specific public entry should be removed (for example, a defamatory remark against a product), email hello@priceactually.com with the entry context and we will review.

Governing law

PriceActually is operated by Aura Bionics Inc., incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada. This Privacy notice is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
